It’s not all about the price

I’m particularly looking forward to the CSP’s annual conference this year. It’s just £99 to attend our flagship conference, and I’m sure there will be something for everyone. We’ve worked closely with our professional network partners ACPOHE, APCP and MACP to ensure this year’s themes resonate with the national direction of the profession.

And following feedback from attendees last year, we’ve transformed the way conference content is both developed and delivered. Physio experts will lead 90-minute focused symposia sessions, which include cutting-edge research, practice and strong take-home messages. There will also be an opportunity to engage in lively debate and discussion. 

The remainder of the two days is filled with 300 platform and poster presentations. The conference will open with Dr Melrose Stewart, with what I know will be an incredible Founders’ Lecture. Closing conference will be Bev Harden and Neil Langridge who will be equally energising and inspiring.  

Throughout the event there’s the chance to get together with colleagues and friends (why not join our CPD night – curry, pizazz and dancing!) and a large trade exhibition.  All in all, Physiotherapy UK will be two days well spent.

It is gratifying that we have managed to present a large-scale, world-class event to our members for just £99 (or £79 for students, retired and unwaged members), but what really matters is what you will see when you get there, and I believe you will not be disappointed.

One of the very best things about being involved in the conference organising is that I see people coming away energised about their career – regardless of their grade, ready to put into practice new research and ways of working
